I live in NW Florida with my wife, daughter, and our tri-colored beagle. We homeschool our daughter. This gives us the opportunity to spend a lot of time traveling the country and to teach her in unconventional ways. We enjoy exploring new places, and meeting new people.

I've spent my entire adult life in the military. I am grateful for the opportunity that I've had to travel the world, and to try to help people in whatever way I can. On my most recent deployment, I was a lead advisor for a Counter Narcotics unit in Afghanistan. Here I am with the Company Commander as we assess his units patrolling techniques and capabilities.

This is Jake. Jake is 16 years old. Sometimes my daughter makes him wear accessories like this bandana. On one occasion she dressed him up as a banana. Either way Jake remains stoic. Epictetus, or Marcus Aurelius himself would be proud.

Since work keeps me pretty busy, my family and IÂ make the most of the time we have together. We usually take two or three trips a year. Here we are enjoying a light show/ dance party in Nashville, Tennessee.
